Last weekend ...just me and Noah Jake

well here we are!!!!!!!!
Seriously, it is almost time and I don't know what to do with myself. The reality of having a baby, my last baby, a baby girl...is really starting to hit me.

Life seemsto be flowing smoothly these days- or at least I have acclimated myself to the stress levels. We have survived another "hell week", zack having great success with his tests, and now it's time for BABY!

Another exciting date approaching is Noah's 3rd birthday...I am seriously hoping that I have enough energy to participate!

So, this is the official LAST weekend with just the 3 of us. I hung out with Noah tonight, we drove by a high school football game (he LOVES watching the boys play and wants to join in himself), we got stuck behind a train (another favorite), we got a Whataburger hamburger kids meal. I got onion rings and ate the onions out - NJ ate the fried batter. Then we had a mint chocolate chip ice cream cone, more cone that ice cream. We watched an episode of Little Bill and snuggled...
I know that I am totally hormonal, but I watched him while he was watching tv and just melted into those blue eyes and long eyelashes. I didn't get sad, I just reveled in his innocence. He asked me if I was happy, I told him yes and I asked him if he was happy...he said emphatically..."uh huuuuh". Such innocence and such purity...I see the sparkle in his eyes, the way he looks at me when he asks a question and pays such close attention to the answer. I so love the way he runs to me when I get home from school and displays utter joy at getting to see me...
I love watching the way he looks at the world and tries to take everything in. I don't know if this is more for you or more for me - but here are some of the things that make Noah so sweet, things about him that make me stop in the middle of my anger and laugh literally out loud
- Noah loves to shave like daddy, he always puts an excessive amount on and goes at it...
- he constantly asks me if the baby has a weenie
-Since his daycare is downtown, we drive right past all the big buildings and today he asked me if we could get a big ladder and go on them.
- he loves to share, everything, half eaten food items too.
-he has a piece of cinnamon toast, bowl of oatmeal and one egg -minus the yolk, every morning for breakfast
-he loves to help unload the dishwasher, the dryer, and to vacuum
-he loves the Beyonce song "Halo", Black Eyed Peas "Boom Boom Pow", and some punk rock stuff that daddy listens to
-he likes to pretend he's lifting weights
-He comes in the room in the morning time and lays in bed with me..he loves my soft blanket
-He loves to hug, to run, to tell me he is frustrated, and to wear his sunglasses on the way to school.
-His favorite song to sing is "Happy Birthday to you"
-He loves other kids...loves loves loves to play with them and to interact

SO before I get wrapped up in this new little girl, my next semester, or whatever else life throws my way I need to just stop. I need to take time to cherish the messy kisses and the jelly-handed hugs, the naked pee pee dances, the balls being thrown on the roof, peeing outside in the front yard, and last but not least, that look he gives me that says you are my rock, my hero and my comfort...

I love you little Noah...mommy loves you. Sleep tight.
xoxo
